Happy Spring! We made it thru the long winter... And now... let the growth of new adventures, creativity, and the mysterious green world grace our lives!!!
When you are living in Southeast Alaska the first day of SpRiNg can be quite exciting, days are much longer which translates to more sunshine~ and living in a rainforest you can sure appreciate that!!!!
We can only survive large amounts of chocolate and citrus essential oil blends for sooo long!! I do my best at staying optimistic, ( I am human tho, I do have my days...) by staying busy with creating lovely things, and getting outside when it's not raining sideways. But There is a freshness when the weather starts to lighten up a bit.
Think of the energy in spring... it's AliVe!!! Full of creation everywhere! Little plants waking up, glowing greens and yellows blurring our eyes. It is said that sprouts have the most vibrational energy, and it shows! Pay attention on your next walk looking around you at all of the new growth, it almost glows right? Breathe it in, and harness the energy! Maybe it will help you get through a tough day, or create sunshine on a rainy day!
My wolfie, Kahnayt in the picture above is even acting different! She can not get enough sunshine! I watch her lay around in the house or on the porch, and she moves into the sunniest spots, I swear she's part cat!!!! She leaps and bounds through the woods as we hike in the misty mountain trails... ( doing circles around me ) so graceful, and sweet... Other animals are waking up around here, and Kahnayt lets us know when they are close! The woods behind our house are home to many great animals, like deer, wolves, black bears, minks, squirrels, eagles, and ravens. I am awaiting the sweet songs of the migratory birds that pass thru each year! When I hear there songs I know Summer is not far away! Ah Spring....
And.......The foraging season is upon us once again! I'm looking forward to many great wild plant adventures this year...
Hi there! Being a spirited women who has many passions I thought it would be fun to share bits and pieces of my journey here.
